Diana Silva

Diana Silva, originally from Sri Lanka, brings over 35 years of experience in early childhood education to The Manor Montessori School. She holds an AMI Montessori Diploma (ages 3–6) from St. Bridget’s Maria Montessori Higher Educational Institute, along with certifications in Early Childhood Education and Child Psychology from Havelock Gardens Education Institute and the Open University of Sri Lanka. She has worked in Montessori environments across Virginia, California, and Maryland.

Diana is deeply committed to the Montessori philosophy and is passionate about creating a calm, nurturing, and purposeful learning environment. She strives to support each child’s unique development—academically, socially, emotionally, and physically—while fostering independence and a lifelong love of learning.

Outside the classroom, Diana enjoys reading, painting, listening to soft music, taking nature walks, and meditating. She also delights in sharing stories that teach kindness, respect, and core human values—values she integrates into her everyday teaching.
