Beiling Zhang
Primary Lead Guide
Beiling Zhang has an Art Bachelor degree from Shanghai Drama Academy. Later
she moved to US to study and received a Engineering Master with Science in
Information System from Northeastern University. Then she worked at IBM as a
system engineer for about 20 years. Her interest in Montessori world started
during her two teenage children’s community service work in a Montessori after
school program.
She holds a certification from Center for Guided Montessori Studies (3-6) in
Florida, an affiliated member of MACTE, as well as a diploma (0-3) from North
America Montessori Center, Surrey, CANADA. She is certified in the Montessori
Chinese Language program from Trinity Montessori Education Center in
Shanghai.
She started being with Montessori community since 2011 in Maryland. She had
earned Montessori certification through working with Primary Montessori School
and Manor Montessori School. She had spent several years working in China as
a Montessori trainer, lecturer and lead room teacher. Those schools are located
in Shanghai, Nanjin and ZhenJiang. After the pandemic, she returned to China
and worked at Montessori School of Shanghai as a lead teacher for two years,
and just moved back to the state last month.
Ms. Beiling’s favorite things about teaching Montessori are helping children to
become independent learners, guiding them to be peaceful leaders in their
communities and future world. She is a dedicated Montessorian who follows
school designed curriculum to give children the skills to solve conflicts, care for
themselves and their environment, to become our responsive global citizens.
Ms. Beiling has returned to Maryland home with her husband while their two
grown children live in NYC. Besides Montessori world, she also loves to hike,
craft, read, sing and travel.
