Trudy Langrin

Primary Lead Guide

Mrs. Trudy Langrin holds a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Education from Howard University. She began her Montessori journey as an assistant, where she quickly fell in love with the philosophy, and went on to earn her Montessori Primary certification from the Washington Montessori Institute, followed by an M.Ed. from Loyola University Maryland.

In the classroom, Ms. Trudy’s approach is rooted in guiding rather than directing. She sees her role not as a dispenser of knowledge, but as a facilitator of learning, one who carefully prepares the environment, observes closely, and walks alongside each child as they discover their
capabilities and interests. Her primary goal as an educator is to foster independence,
confidence, and a genuine joy in learning.

Ms. Trudy’s teaching philosophy is grounded in three core Montessori principles: respect for each child’s individuality and developmental pace; flexibility within structure through thoughtful observation and adaptation; and empowering children through independence and intrinsic motivation. She strives to create a classroom environment that encourages
exploration, responsibility, and critical thinking.

Equally important to Ms. Trudy is honoring the joy of childhood. While maintaining clear
boundaries and expectations rooted in grace and courtesy, she believes that laughter,
movement, and playful moments help build trust, emotional safety, and a strong sense of community.

Ms. Trudy is delighted to be part of the Manor Montessori family and looks forward to partnering with families to support each child’s growth and success.
